Two men were arrested in Koyambedu on Monday for duping banks by obtaining car loans submitting fake documents and later selling off the cars using fake registration (RC) books.
Police said Harinath, 33, of Porur, Arun Prasad, 32, of Kolathur had connived with four others in executing the crime. A hunt is on for four others in this connection.

1137 teachers sacked over fake degree, invalid documents
Bihar government, on Tuesday, said that the services of 1137 fixed pay teachers in schools have been terminated as they had acquired the job on the basis of fake and invalid documents and initiated action against those responsible for their appointment.
This was told by state Education Minister Brishen Patel in Legislative Assembly in reply to a starred question of BJP’s Vikram Kuer. The government under Nitish Kumar had recruited nearly 2.25 lakh fixed pay teachers in schools from 2006 to 2011 to fill in the vacancies of the teachers

In an educational record of sorts, L B Singh from Bihar has claimed in his official documents that he received a BEd (Bachelor of Education) degree seven years before he was born.

BU students’ documents to be verified online
The time-consuming document verification process of Bangalore University (BU) students is all set to go online from the next academic year. The university is planning to upload scanned copies of markscards and degree certificates on its website to help employers verify documents of the shortlisted candidates easily.
